Mines and quarries place particularly high demands on machinery and wear parts. The wear is greater and there are more challenges.
BOROX® high-quality wear parts are known for their long life span, good weldability and high wear resistance. This is due to the steel’s composition, our unique production process, and our extensive experience working with products for the mining industry. We produce most products in 500HB or 550HB, but other materials are available upon request. We perform all machining operations—such as drilling, punching, and cutting—before the heat treatment. This minimizes the risk of soft spots caused by gas-cut edges, ensuring that BOROX® steel is hard from edge to edge.
We manufacture everything from LHD lips, bolt-on edges, wear strips, side protectors and grouser bars to wear plates and large bedliners measuring 31 1/2" x 118". However, a large portion of our products are custom-made to fit a specific machine or application.
