Our production.
Borox® is located in two places in Sweden, in Oxelösund where the head office is also located and in Eneryda in Småland. Eneryda is where most of our production takes place and is also home to our modern central warehouse.
Making a wear-resistant steel is complicated. Our production process where we format, punch and drill before the heat treatment minimizes the risk of lost hardness due to gas cut edges and the component becomes hard from edge to edge.
Soft steel wear out quickly, as do steel that is too hard and therefore brittle. Our long experience and close collaboration with industry-leading steel manufacturers ensure an optimized balance between hardness and toughness.
We only use high quality steel with narrow tolerances on the steel composition. About 60% of all the raw material we use is made from recycled scrap, which also significantly reduces our climate impact.
We are constantly working to reduce our climate footprint and our latest measure has been to replace a gas-fired kiln with an electric one. We have also installed solar cells on our buildings in Eneryda, covering 4450 square meters. We are, of course, also certified according to ISO9001 and ISO14001.
